Again, traveling to Bahamas or Jamaica – or basically any other country with a beach or two – and doing nothing but lying in the sun is a cool way to spend your time, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re a person who wants to be active and doesn’t mind doing something new every single day, you might not opt for a traditional honeymoon.
Instead, you could be active and live life to the fullest. Diving, snorkeling, swimming, jet-skiing, and surfing is much better than doing nothing all day long. If you go to a mountain in the winter, you might ski or skate, which are two wonderful ideas. The point is being active instead of being passive, and you’d be surprised how useful these ideas really are.
This might not be the most popular honeymoon trend at the moment, but the chances are it’s going to get more popular in the years to come. Being eco-friendly and sustainable is something lots of people are doing right now, trying to help our planet and do something good for the environment. Even though it doesn’t seem that way at first, you too can be eco-friendly when you’re on your honeymoon as well.
Opting for sustainable hotels, environmentally-aware transportation options and places that promote sustainability might not seem like a lot at first, but these things can make a massive difference in the long run. These things will require some preparation, though, so start looking into green hotels you might visit on your honeymoon straight away.
