Your honeymoon’s going to be fun and relaxing! But it’ll eventually come to an end. Unless you have an unlimited budget, it may be the last vacation you take for a while as you recuperate from the expenses of your wedding.

With that in mind, here are four ideas for making the most of this precious time.

1. Climb Together

Do you like the outdoors and want to share your passion with your spouse? Why don’t you and your SO go out and climb together?

You don’t necessarily need ropes and carabiners. You can try bouldering, where you only use pads for protection and your body strength to propel you up smaller rocks — typically 12 to 15-feet in height.

While you can find indoor facilities, staying outdoors is safer if COVID-19 makes you pause.

2. Sail Off Into the Sunset

Maybe you decided that going for an all-inclusive cruise was out because you didn’t want to squeeze into a tiny liner bedroom. Who said that you can’t indulge your love of the water without spending your entire honeymoon at sea?

You deserve at least one elegant meal out — why not make it a sunset cruise while you gaze at the city lights from the harbor? If you and your new spouse are allergic to the foo-foo treatment, many glamping locations feature canoe and kayak rentals.

3. Go on the Hunt

You can always inject an element of danger into your honeymoon. If you or your spouse enjoy hunting — but you’ve never tried it together — take to the woods in search of your quarry!

Just remember, if you’re traveling, please make sure your chosen method of hunting is legal in your state to avoid unwanted consequences. You don’t want to start married life out on the wrong foot.

4. Learn a New Skill

Learning is fun when it’s something you want to do, not a chore you must complete to pass a class. Fortunately, you have a ton of options. Why not take ball-dancing or salsa lessons so that you can steal the show at your next soiree?

You’re sure to get hungry, so why not get in the kitchen together? Learn how to cook authentic Mexican dishes if you like things spicy or get a jumpstart on your resolutions by taking a keto-friendly class.
