When spending your honeymoon in a warmer climate, plan on packing two or three pairs of casual shorts, preferably cotton, and enough lightweight T-shirts to get you through the trip. Opt for at least two or three casual shirts, either short- or long-sleeved, to be prepared for any occasion. In order to stay warm during the flight, but also have a great outfit option for dressier date nights, it would be best to bring a pair of cotton or linen trousers that are easily dressed up or down, as well as a stylish and elegant button-down shirt.
Whether you’re going to the beach side, an indoor pool, or you simply plan on spending a few relaxing days at the spa, it’s always a good idea to take at least two pairs of swimming trunks with you. Don’t forget to pack a few extra T-shirts to use as a beach cover-up, so you don’t waste everything you’ve brought on the short walk to the beach, and always remember to bring a small, handy bag or backpack with you that can be used both for the beach and for walks, hikes and excursions.
Apart from everyday essentials, such as underwear, socks, pajamas and toiletries, there are a few more things you should always pack in your suitcase, especially when you’re going to a tropical destination. To protect yourself from harmful sunrays, don’t forget to bring a sunscreen, a pair of sunglasses and a lightweight hat with you. If you wear prescription glasses, a great idea would be to opt for a new pair and update your look for the honeymoon. There are many great places where you can buy glasses online and ensure you find the perfect pair that will make you look more handsome than ever, making your new spouse fall in love with you all over again.
In order to avoid over-packing and taking up too much room in your suitcase, opt for one pair of dressy, yet still very comfortable shoes that can be dressed up or dressed down easily. That way, you will ensure you look fashionable and put-together at all times, whether you are sitting on the plane, going on a sightseeing tour during the day or visiting a five-star restaurant in the evening. If you plan on taking trips to the pool or the beach, then packing a pair of sandals or flip-flops is the most lightweight and practical option.
It’s highly unlikely that you’ll need anything more than a thin cotton sweater or a lightweight rain jacket to keep you warm on cooler evenings and help you stay prepared if the weather doesn’t work in your favor. On the off chance that a storm blows in and you need more warmth, you can always buy something at your destination. However, the odds that you’ll need anything more than a light outerwear piece are very slim, and you shouldn’t really pack for the long shot.
You only get to enjoy one honeymoon with your spouse, so leave all of your stresses at home and don’t let trivial things ruin your vacation. At the end of the day, all you really need for a memorable honeymoon is love.
